I have been witnessing a newer generation of spam bots. Getting past captcha is a thing of past now. What these bots seem to be doing is this:
- Register and login (get past captcha) as usual
- Try to post a new link on my forums, if that doesnt work [becauase I have minimum posts allowed to post a link]
- they leave a message like “Completely agree with you”, “<two words from subject> is this your confusion” etc.
- Once they are past the post limit , guess what? Whamm! a post full of spam links.
So be careful of these users who are trying to increase there post counts. If in doubt check their IP address, 99% of them will have an ip address from China.
